After hurricane Tomas great part of it was flooded and Waf Jeremie is one of the first Port-au-Prince areas where cholera appeared. Waf Jeremie is one of the poorest districts of Port au Prince, a shantytown where about 150.000 people live in miserable conditions and where gangs, drug and arms dealers are free to icrease their business. This is one of the areas interdicted by UN because of its dangerousness.
