Messina, Italy. 1908 - 2008, One hundred years after the earthquake. Street life in Fondo Fucile district. People in Fondo Fucile live in ruined shacks. They have no sanitation and when it rains the streets become rivers. They live among rats, beetles and any sort of insect. Almost all the roofs in Fondo Fucile are made of asbestos sheets and among ihabitants and neighborhood, many people suffer from chronic respiratory diseases. Mainly children.
