Mother and father cry for their 4 years old child death in Makpandu refugees camp. Since 2008 thousands Congolese and Sudanese have escaped from their villages because of LRA attacks. The LRA (Lord's Resistence Army) has been attacking villages in Congo and in South Sudan since 2008, killing people, raping women, kidnapping children and youngs and committing robberies. Kidnapped Boys are used as porters, as workers or trained as soldiers, kidnapped girls are treated as wives by soldiers. Tens of thousand people have escaped from their own villages and houses because of LRA attacks along the border of Congo and Sudan.Makpandu settlement, 44 km from Yambio, South Sudan, was established for refugees escaping from LRA attacks. Other congolese have found shelter in villages along the Congo Sudan border, amoung friends and relatives.
